What is Terrorism?

Terrorism is, in its broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror or fear, in order to achieve a political, religious, or ideological aim. In modern times, terrorism is considered a major threat to society and therefore illegal under anti-terrorism laws in most. The unlawful use to force and violence against person or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

 

Cases of Terrorism

2005 Delhi bombing - On October 29, 2005 there is a powerful blasts in New Delhi at different places. In these blasts 70 people dead and 250 people injured.

2006 Varanasi bombing - On March 7, 2006 Three synchronized terrorist attacks in Varanasi in Shri Sankatmochan Mandir and Varanasi cantonment railway station. In these blasts 21 people dead.

2016 Kokrajhar, Assam - on august 5, 2016 terrorist attack in the market area Balajan Tinali of the city of kokrajhar by three terrorists, suspected to be Bodo militants, using AK-47 and used a grenade.

  • High immediate stress in country.
  • Increasing healthcare and medical costs.

  • Encourage security awareness in your family.
  • Protect your personal information. Do not reveal details of your personal life to strangers.
  • Maintain situational awareness of your surroundings at all times. Pay attention to activity happening around you in order to identify anything unusual.
  • Make sure to emergency phone numbers that can help you reach the police and other security agencies in times of emergency.
  • Draw the attention of the police or other security agencies to vehicles parked or abandoned by suspicious persons.
  • Be prepared to evacuate your home or shelter on the order of local authorities and be alert.

 

 

How to stop Terrorism

Poverty seems to be the major cause of terrorism. It is poverty which forces people to join terrorism. They usually use teenagers to execute their nefarious designs as young and teenage boys are easily convinced to without knowing the consequences. Unemployment is also one of the main causes that help increase terrorism. Corruption in our system is increasing day by day it also a reason of terrorism.
